RDA Moreton Bay organised a workshop on 25th May 2011 for community organisations interested in Social Enterprise, to provide information on social enterprise activities, how they work and the support available.  20  participants attended.

Susan Black from Social Ventures Australia presented and there were examples of a local social enterprise the Lagoon Creek cafe. The session covered:


1. Understanding and running successful social enterprises

This gives you  a solid understanding of what a social enterprise is, the different kinds of social enterprises and the process for establishing a social enterprise designed to deliver employment outcomes.

2. How to apply for support and investment

How SVA can support social enterprises and the expression of interest process
