Connected Communities Program


Bookings are now open for council’s Connected Communities Program schedule of events for October.

Moreton Bay Regional Council has engaged Founder & Director of Bank of I.D.E.A.S and Senior Australian of the Year (WA) 2017, Peter Kenyon to deliver an array of exciting workshops and events that will provide a platform to inspire new ideas, discover local assets and connect with your community.

What’s On:

 1.    Asset Based Community Development (ABCD) Masterclass

This one day workshop is designed for community workers and enthusiasts who want to discover more about ABCD philosophies and learn how to  use our own assets and capabilities to build connected and inclusive communities.

 Date: Friday, 6 October

Venue: The Hub, Caboolture

Time: 9:30am – 4:30pm


§   Funded community service workers / government workers – $40

§   Community volunteers / residents – $20



2.    Inspiring Connected Communities Keynote Networking Event

The Connected Communities Keynote Networking Event will inspire and generate new ideas on how to create meaningful, sustainable change through connecting and networking with your community.

Date: Saturday, 7 October

Venue: Antigua Room, Mon Komo, 99 Marine Parade, Redcliffe

Time: 9:30am – 12:30pm

Cost: FREE. Please register your attendance.
