Employer support payments of up to $20,000 are now available to businesses in the Moreton Bay Region through the State Government’s latest Back to Work – South East Queensland (SEQ) Package.
The $27.5 million initiative is designed to give businesses the confidence to employ regional job seekers, long-term unemployed, unemployed youth (15-24-year-olds) and mature aged (55-plus) jobseekers.
Businesses are encouraged to apply and take advantage of Employer Support, Youth Boost and Mature Aged Worker Boost payments, available in select areas across South East Queensland, including Moreton Bay.
What payments are available?
Each eligible employer may claim a maximum of five Back to Work SEQ applications, incorporating three payments for each jobseeker.
Employer support payments totalling $15,000 (paid across the three payments) are available for each jobseeker previously unemployed for 52 weeks or more, and $20,000 for each eligible youth jobseeker, and mature aged worker.
Who can apply?
All employers are eligible except for government entities (local, State and Commonwealth Governments and entities including government-owned corporations and statutory bodies).
Additional employer and specific job criteria eligibility applies. Check the government guidelines to see if you may be eligible, and to find out more about timeframes and evidence requirements.
