Kelvin Patch
Chair
Kelvin Patch has lived in the Moreton Bay Region for 17+ years and has been the Chief Executive Officer of Caboolture Sports Club Limited (CSC Group) since January 2004.
Kelvin Patch has lived in the Moreton Bay Region for 17+ years and has been the Chief Executive Officer of Caboolture Sports Club Limited (CSC Group) since January 2004.
The role at CSC Group has enabled Kelvin to be actively involved in the provision for sporting clubs’ infrastructure and growth throughout the Moreton Bay Region. In his tenure at the CSC Group, his business and management skills have provided prosperity for the not-for-profit entity, that now owns and operates four licenced club venues, as well as leases and permits for eight sporting complexes and clubhouses.
His business acumen and due diligence was highlighted in 2016 with the construction and commencement of operations of the North Lakes Sports Club, the first community club greenfield premises established in Queensland in over 20 years.
Kelvin has a strong affiliation and works collaboratively with the three levels of government.
He holds a Business Degree and Alumni at Southern Cross University, was awarded the Queensland Club Secretary Manager of the Year in 2011 and 2017, and has been bestowed the Paul Harris Fellow Award in 2017 from Rotary International, for his contribution to the Caboolture and Morayfield communities.
Previous Board and Committee experience includes Clubs Queensland (2015-2019) and Caboolture Sports Club Limited (Company Secretary, 2004 – Current).

Sharon Armstrong

Sharon co-owns and operates Embrace Life, located in the busy suburb of North Lakes. Embrace Life embodies her passion for family and community health and wellness.
Sharon co-owns and operates Embrace Life located in the busy suburb of North Lakes. Embrace Life embodies her passion for family and community health and wellness. With a Master’s Degree in Nursing and BSc Public Health that underpin her drive for growing healthy communities, she moved into small business 13 years ago. In 2010 Sharon joined the community for the North Lakes Chamber of Commerce and held the role of President from 2014 to 2017.
In 2015 Sharon joined the RDA Moreton Bay Committee as Treasurer and currently holds the Deputy Chair position. Sharon hopes that her role with RDA Moreton Bay can help to facilitate grass roots community projects that bring more business and people to the beautiful Moreton Bay region.

Mike Brady APM

Michael is a retired police superintendent who spent the last decade of his distinguished career with the Queensland Police Service as the Moreton Police District Officer.
Michael is a retired police superintendent who spent the last decade of his distinguished career with the Queensland Police Service as the Moreton Police District Officer.
In addition to being responsible for policing activities and community safety, Michael was appointed as the area’s District Disaster Co-Ordinator and had overall responsibility for the multi-agency response to major events and disaster, including floods, fires and significant incidences that impacted the Moreton Bay Regional Council area.
Michael has close associations with the Moreton Bay Region, having moved to Burpengary in 1987 and now in retirement, he calls Caboolture home with his wife and family.

Professor Karen Becker

Professor Karen Becker is the inaugural Head of UniSC Moreton Bay campus located at Petrie, having led the campus since January 2020.
Professor Karen Becker is the inaugural Head of UniSC Moreton Bay campus located at Petrie, having led the campus since January 2020. She is a human resource management professional who worked in corporate and consulting roles prior to moving into universities to teach and research in this area.
As a long-term resident, Karen is committed to, and ambitious for, the Moreton Bay Region.
She believes that in an increasingly knowledge-driven world, UniSC graduates and researchers should provide the skills, imagination and ambition needed to support new industries, drive local prosperity and build a strong, sustainable regional economy.

Craig Doyle

Craig Doyle, having been born and bred in Dayboro, is a fifth-generation resident of the area. Craig has built a successful group of businesses with interests in property, real estate and agribusiness spanning over the last 30 years.

In 1993, Craig established Craig Doyle Real Estate, the longest serving real estate in the region with offices in Dayboro and Samford. Craig is an active member of the community, being heavily involved with the Dayboro Rodeo Association, Dayboro Show Society and various other committees as well as being a proud recipient of the 'Resident of the Year' award from the Dayboro Day Committee.

Craig Hewlett grew up in the family-operated businesses around South East Queensland in the 1970s, from speedways at Ipswich, bowling alleys at Greenslopes, and motor dealerships at Strathpine where the Westfield Shopping Centre is now situated.

In the past, Craig Hewlett has owned and operated a highly successful project marketing construction company, has been a co-owner of a major real-estate franchise, and has an acute knowledge of Moreton Bay’s history and its people. Craig Hewlett is the current president of Moreton Bays Own Radio Station 101.5FM, and has received several awards for his service to the community, spanning over 30 years.

Cr Jodie Shipway

Councillor Jodie Shipway was elected as the Councillor for Division 4 in Moreton Bay Regional Council at the Local Government elections in March 2020 and elected to the role of Deputy Mayor by her peers in October 2021.

Growing up in Kippa-Ring, raised by mother Kerry with one brother Michael, Jodie is a local through and through. Now married to Mark with two young sons, Jodie and her family live in Mango Hill, are heavily involved in sport and you will find them most weekends coaching, watching and volunteering at one of the boys' rugby league or basketball games.
Jodie has enjoyed working in a number of areas, including real estate, accounts and finance and corporate administration. Her background in real estate over the seven years prior to being elected to Council put Jodie in good stead to step up and serve the community.
Jodie believes in putting the community first and in the inclusion and representation of all by building better infrastructure, supporting community groups and improving green spaces. She’s hit the ground running, tackling local’s issues, getting involved in local community groups, preserving green spaces and improving community facilities.

Zach Wright

Zach has spent much of his career in the not-for-profit sector, with a goal of enhancing the lives of Australians and creating sustainable opportunities for work and business.
Zach has spent much of his career in the not-for-profit sector, with a goal of enhancing the lives of Australians and creating sustainable opportunities for work and business. Working across the disability, disadvantaged, youth and veterans’ spaces, Zach has focused on demystifying biases to highlight the significant contributions these groups can bring to the community and the organisations within them. With a background in tender writing and business development, he is excited to bring focus to the amazing work already happening in Moreton Bay and support businesses to deliver these impacts on a larger scale.
As the Business Relationship Manager at RSL Queensland, Zach hopes his role with the RDA Moreton Bay Committee will provide an opportunity to advocate for issues affecting veterans and their families, as well as the broader community, to create a strong and welcoming place to live, work and play.

Natassia Wheeler

Natassia (Tash) Wheeler was born and raised in Agnes Water, Queensland where she commenced her career and education in the tourism industry.
Natassia (Tash) Wheeler was born and raised in Agnes Water, Queensland where she commenced her career and education in the tourism industry. Tash was heavily involved in her local community, volunteering for a number of events and initiatives from a young age. This is where her passion for regional development, tourism and events began.
Tash’s zest for tourism and natural leadership style has seen her repeatedly progress quickly to senior roles within any organisation she works for. Tash has an extensive career in the tourism industry and has always been willing to sink her teeth into any role that expands her knowledge and skill set. Over the past 16 years Tash has worked at several economic development and tourism agencies including Gladstone Area Promotion & Development Limited, Brisbane Marketing, Tourism and Events Queensland and most recently as Chief Executive Officer at Tourism Whitsundays.
Working from the ground up in a variety of positions has allowed Tash to gain invaluable knowledge across economic development, events, publicity, financial management, human resources, industry development, stakeholder engagement and management, and of course marketing and visitor attraction.
Through various roles, Tash has seen firsthand the importance regional development plays in building growth and opportunity in areas Australia. Relocating back to the Moreton Bay Region with her husband and three children in January 2022, Tash has embarked on a new journey in her own business Tash Wheeler Consulting. As a strong communicator, Tash looking forward to playing a strong role in the RDA Moreton Bay in helping to guide the tourism opportunity for the region in the lead up to 2032.
