SMEs that supply, or have the potential to supply to, the superyacht industry can apply for grants up to $10,000 to pursue marina accreditation or internationally recognised certification of their business systems and processes.

Free Apprenticeships for Under 21s QLD

Provides QLD businesses with fee-free apprenticeships when they employ an existing or new apprentice or trainee who is under 21 years of age in a priority qualification.

National Work Experience Programme

Businesses may be eligible to receive an incentive payment of $300 for hosting a National Work Experience Programme candidate, and if participants are offered ongoing employment after the placement, businesses may also be eligible for a wage subsidy. Unpaid placements with businesses for up to four weeks, to a maximum of 25 hours per week.
Amount Available: $300 plus unpaid employee for up to 4 weeks (insured by Government)

Funding for Export Marketing

Export Market Development Grants (EMDG) reimburse promotional expenses for exporters aiming to increase their international sales.
Amount Available: 50% of promotional expenses to a maximum of $150,000

Work Start Incentives QLD

Provides Queensland employers with one-off incentive payments of up to $20,000 if they employ an eligible trainee or apprentice. The trainee or apprentice must have previously participated in a Skilling Queenslanders for Work program. A one-off incentive of $10,000 is available. A Youth Boost component of $20,000 is available from 2018-19 onwards if the eligible person is aged 15 to 24 years.

Defence Global Competitiveness Grants

The Defence Global Competitiveness Grants will help Australian SMEs to invest in projects that build export capability to build a stronger, more sustainable and globally competitive Australian defence industry.
Amount Available: Up to $50 of eligible project costs. Min $15,000 to Max $150,000
