ATO – Ride-sourcing and tax (Sole Traders) – Warner @ Pendicup Community Centre
Dec 5 @ 12:15 pm – 1:15 pm
ATO - Ride-sourcing and tax (Sole Traders) - Warner @ Pendicup Community Centre | Warner | Queensland | Australia

Do you provide ride-sourcing services for a fare; working through a facilitator such as Uber, SheSafe, Shebah or GoCatch?

Do you know how income tax, the goods and services tax (GST) applies to your earnings?

Ride-sourcing is taxi-travel for GST purposes. If you have a ride-sourcing enterprise, you need:

  • an Australian business number (ABN)
  • to register for GST from the day you start
  • to pay GST on the full amount of every fare
  • to keep records of income and expenses for both GST and income tax purposes.

You can then claim GST credits for expenses associated with your ride-sourcing enterprise.

Come along to this one hour session where we’ll help understand how to get it right.

Note: If you already have a business structure, this session is designed for sole traders.

Webinar: DIY vs DONE for you: which website platform best suits your business @ Webinar

This workshop is designed for business owners who are yet to build a website or looking to update their existing site.

Now that you have made the decision to have a digital presence the next question is:
Do I build the website myself or hire a professional?

Not so long ago, there would have been no question of hiring a pro to get the results you want, but thanks to the rise of online tools such as website builders, it has become easier for the non-techies among you to ‘give-it-a-go’.

Just because you can though, doesn’t mean you should. It’s a decision that’s worth weighing carefully, since for some projects a professional cannot be replaced by a tool.

During this workshop you will come to understand:

  • The importance of getting your WHY right
  • Why cost is not as important as you THINK it is but INVESTMENT is
  • Why your website is equally important as your business card
  • Different type of website builders which you can use
  • What kind of site you require to ‘best-fit’ your business

This workshop is designed for business owners who are yet to build a website or looking to update their existing site.
