The Assistant Minister for Regional Development and Territories, the Hon. Nola Marino MP, has finalised appointments of Chairs of Regional Development Australia (RDA) Committees across Australia. “I am pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Kelvin Patch as the new Chair of RDA Moreton Bay to 30 June 2025,” the Assistant Minister said.

Kelvin Patch is the CEO of the CSC Group which operates four sports clubs in the region, the Caboolture and North Lakes Sports Clubs, Sports Central Caboolture and the Centenary Lakes Sports Club and Function Centre. He will lead RDA Moreton Bay under a refreshed Charter that focuses their role on driving investment and local procurement opportunities and through this, creating jobs and economic growth for our regions.

“I look forward to working with Kelvin and the RDA Moreton Bay members and staff over the coming years and encourage the community to reach out to their RDA to discuss how it can help business succeed,” the Assistant Minister said.

The Assistant Minister paid tribute to retiring Chair, Shane Newcombe, who did not reapply for the role and who has successfully led the organisation through periods of change and growth over the past 6 years and steered the organisation through the challenges of 2020.

Kelvin Patch also acknowledged his predecessor and said “ Shane has been a fantastic leader and advocate for the work of RDA Moreton Bay throughout the region and built relationships and programming that will be of great benefit to the region well into the future.”

RDA Moreton Bay congratulates Kelvin on his appointment and we look forward to the next 4 and a half years working together.

Recruitment for the RDA Moreton Bay committee will be advertised shortly. Details will be available on the RDA Moreton Bay website from 11 January 2021.
