moreton bay council queensland plan

The Queensland Plan (the Plan), released in 2014, presents an aspirational 30-year vision for the state. It identifies targets and goals which describe Queenslanders’ vision of their ideal future across nine foundation areas: education; community; regions; economy; health and wellbeing; environment; people; infrastructure; and governance. The Plan was developed in consultation with Queenslanders and responsibility for implementing the Plan is shared across state and local government, the community, business, industry and individual Queenslanders.

Under the Queensland Plan Act 2014, the Queensland Government is required to review the Plan within five years of it being released. As part of this review, the Government is seeking feedback from community and business organisations about the Plan and its implementation. In particular we are seeking feedback on whether the vision outlined in The Queensland Plan still reflects the aspirations of Queenslanders and whether the approach to implementation is still appropriate.

The Queensland Government is seeking your organisation’s feedback. In particular, we are interested in hearing about how your organisation has used the Plan in your own strategic planning and in monitoring progress towards long term goals.

A Consultation Paper has been prepared to provide background information and guide responses to the review. The Consultation Paper and a feedback form are available online at http://www.getinvolved.qld.gov.au/gi/consultation/5403/view.html.

Please provide one consolidated response to the review for your organisation.

Further information about The Queensland Plan can be found here https://www.queenslandplan.qld.gov.au/.

If you are unable to access the information, or would like any further background or assistance, please contact the Department of the Premier and Cabinet at Queensland.plan@qld.gov.au or on 07 3003 9464.

For your contribution to be considered in the review, please provide your submission by Wednesday 7 November 2018. I look forward to receiving your response as we consider the best way to support Queenslanders in achieving their vision for the future.
